JeportEx: Java Report by

JeportEx  is not only a program to simplify the creation of reports, it contains also a complete report-, user- and authorization administration.

    Experience here (PDF, will take a while), how simple it is to provide a new report.

The users read the report structures directly from the database. An installation of users is limited therefore to copying some files.

Checked data bases are:

• Microsoft SQL Server 7 and 2000
  
• Sybase 10 and 12.5
• Oracle 9i

A substantial characteristic of JeportEx, which distinguishes it in relation to other report programs, is the inserted function to be able to work with a comparison period. That brings substantial easements with turnover figures reports.

JeportEx was developed to 100 % in Java. It is based on the world-wide standard of SUN, version (at present) 1.4.2. It should be executable therefore on all operating systems, which possess this standard as JRE (Java run time Environment).

To access the database jTDS version 0.5.1, ojdbc14 and/or jConnect are used.

jTDS is subject the "open source" rules, thus no royalties

jTDS supports Microsoft SQL servers and Sybase up to version 10.

ojdbc14 is part of the Oracle 9i delivery.

jConnect supports Sybase starting from version 10 and is free of charge at Sybase as download available.
